They can be useful in determining the strengths of different hands, as well as the strengths of combinations.

Today, it is still played in the U.S. One of the more sophisticated versions is a multi-street bluffing strategy, in which a player may use a combination of cards from multiple streets.
Aside from the card counting and bluffing, the most important part of the game is the betting structures. Depending on the variant you are playing, you may be betting against another person, a group of people, or the house. You could be in the blinds, or you could be in the antes. Typically, the house decides when to deal the cards. As the cards are dealt, each player has the opportunity to make one or more forced bets, but you don’t have to.
There are dozens of other variations of the card-counting game, each with their own name. Some of these games are more complex than others, and some don’t have a show-stopping best-hand. It is also possible to find a game whose only major feature is the amount of cards in the deck. Likewise, there are a lot of variations on the rules, which can make for a confusing experience.
